Effectively promote all localities within the region including Hughenden, Prairie, Torrens Creek and Stamford, and encourage multi-night stays
The Opportunity
Flinders Shire Council engaged C7EVEN to assist in the development and design of a new tourism guide to promote travel to the Flinders Shire region. In particular, the guide was required to effectively promote all localities within the region including Hughenden, Prairie, Torrens Creek and Stamford, and encourage multi-night stays rather than single night stopovers.
The aim was to promote Flinders Shire as a tourist destination with plenty to offer from culture, art and heritage to prehistoric history and natural wonders, instead of being a waypoint between the Queensland coast and other tourist destinations such as Mount Isa.
The Highlights
Through the strategic highlighting of key tourist offerings in the region and an attractive, easy to navigate design, C7EVEN produced a visitor guide which was not only attractive and engaging but highly informative and user friendly for tourists.
Our Solution
With a strong existing brand across the Visit Hughenden website, tourism e-newsletter and social media, the current Visit Hughenden Guide had become outdated and in need of a total refresh. C7EVEN approached the development of the new visitor guide with a clear strategy after conducting in-depth analysis of the Flinders Shire region, existing tourism collateral and careful consideration of current tourist demographics.
By determining the regions key offerings and opportunities, C7EVEN was able to develop a 24-page visitor guide for the region which offered the following:
- Informative and engaging content to guide tourists to the area
- Promotion of significant local events
- Maps of the region and wider locality
- Detailed overviews of what’s on offer within the region including national parks, art, culture, history and experiences
- Seamless alignment with the existing Outback Town, Endless Horizons tourism materials
