The Golden Gig, sponsored by Maccas was a new activity for the Tamworth Country Music Festival program.
High level stage and event management was required to organise and run the talent quest which would give young country music artists the opportunity to display their talent and kick start their musical journey.
The inaugural Golden Gig event achieved it’s objective to launch a platform for junior talent to compete and showcase their musical skills in the Capital of Country Music Tamworth.
The Golden Gig was featured on the TODAY Show through C7EVEN’s relationship with the program.
C7EVEN was engaged to manage the Golden Gig event on the ground during 50th Tamworth Country Music Festival 2022.
We worked with various Festival and Council teams to successfully coordinate entrant registrations, provide stage and event management throughout the lead up and during the event, including managing the postponement and rescheduling of the competition from January to April.
We also coordinated and managed the judging panel and MC including scripting and scheduling. In total there were 90 performances across the 5 days of the Festival – this included competition spots, scheduled performances and walk up opportunities.
C7EVEN managed the daily stage schedule, judges and scores and oversaw the final tally of scores in preparation for the grand final event. Our experienced team briefed the judging panel daily to ensure smooth operation of the competition.
C7EVEN coordinated the management and scheduling of competition registrations as well as on the day walk up’s and additional performances from country music artists and buskers.
