The Opportunity

Regional Arts NSW (RANSW) is the peak body and service agency for arts and cultural development in regional New South Wales. C7EVEN operated as part of the RANSW team on a full-service retainer for communications and marketing support on a year-round basis.

As a non-profit organisation that serves as the peak body for a network of 15 Regional Arts Development Organisations (RADOs) in NSW, RANSW needed to provide strategic direction, marcomms support, professional development, and funding support through the Regional Arts Fund (RAF).

Our Solution

The framework of C7EVEN’s strategy involved the development of a Strategic Communications Plan to guide not only RANSW but also the RADO network. The Strategic Communications Plan outlined a structure for achieving the organisations overarching strategic goals utilising owned media channels, earned media, and facilitating professional development workshops and meetings with RADO communications officers to strengthen partnerships and the network at large.

As part of the retainer work, we undertook the following activities:

 

  • Created and shared regular social media
  • Developed monthly e-newsletters including copywriting feature news articles showcasing regional artists and projects that utilised the Regional Arts Fund
  • Initiated a monthly e-newsletter focused solely on advocacy for the sector
  • Created content for the RANSW website including news updates, festivals, events, and current grants, awards and opportunities for regional artists in NSW
  • Managed all public relations
  • Designed content for digital channels
  • Facilitated the RADO Communications Officers meetings and professional development workshops
