I couldn’t have asked for a better upbringing. The farm, my horses and endless days in the cattle yards, to me it was perfect.
Growing up in northern NSW on our mixed grazing property has shaped the way I approach everything. From the way I live my day-to-day life, to my work ethic, and I continue to enjoy the lifestyle that living and working within rural and regional Australia offers.
Being raised in the country has even influenced the style of work I do, and at C7EVEN I get to work alongside businesses to help enhance the value regional and rural communities have to offer.
A value that was instilled in me growing up was being able to meaningfully connect with people – it was so important to the way we lived. When you look at the core values of C7EVEN, the ability to provide connection is fundamental.
As I see it, working within the marketing industry and focussing on regional areas brings two clear benefits. Firstly, regional audiences which account for one-third of Australia’s population, offer such a valuable opportunity for businesses to market their products and services. Secondly, for those businesses based in regional and rural Australia, the opportunity to showcase their products and tell their story more widely, means they grow their customer base and expand their business potential beyond the bush.
This progressive approach to considering rural Australia’s contribution and prosperity, has been a major drawcard for me in working at C7EVEN.
