Campaign implementation

A campaign designed to combat the negative health and well-being impacts of overweight and obesity.

The Opportunity

To combat the negative health and well-being impacts of overweight and obesity by developing key evidence-based messages that support the Regional Health Partners Healthy Weight Strategy and promoting the usage of unified key messaging amongst primary health care professionals in the Hunter, New England, and Central Coast regions of NSW.

Our Solution

Together with the HNECC PHN and NSW Regional Health Partners, C7EVEN mapped critical time points and identified the right personnel to deliver messaging regarding overweight and obesity.

Stakeholder Engagement

In-depth stakeholder engagement and research with health professionals was conducted, through workshops, surveys and phone interviews. An in-depth desktop research was completed and an insights report showcasing the common themes and existing projects was developed.

Messaging Framework

A cohesive messaging framework and stakeholder communication matrix as well as evidence-based key messages were developed, for each identified audience segment, that can be delivered consistently by all sectors across the continuum of care at the relevant time points.

Brand Identity

The creation of an umbrella brand that would tie in nicely with the overall PHN brand, but would allow for a standalone brand identity to be used long term, with the first pillar being the healthy weight campaign.

Highlights

  • Health providers now have access to a cohesive evidence-based messaging framework that supports the Addressing Overweight and Obesity Project
  • Through health providers, the public are encouraged and enabled to make healthy and nutritious food choices and get physical activity

Achievements

  • Creation of a strong brand that can be utilised for a long time to come, across a range of health and well-being initiatives
  • Development of a comprehensive toolkit to support primary health care professionals in their preventative care work
