The key objective was to increase public awareness of SASH’s services across its growing sites throughout Australia by generating positive and impactful media coverage.

The Opportunity

As a specialist veterinary hospital, SASH’s key audience is local general practitioner vet practices that refer patients to SASH to receive specialist treatment as well as Australian pet owners. C7EVEN was engaged by SASH to deliver a PR program to showcase the hospitals specialist capabilities and facilities and its place within each of the local communities that SASH serves.

C7EVEN worked with SASH to understand business priorities and growth areas, generating PR coverage around these areas to increase awareness, clients and referrals to the business.

Achievement

C7EVEN’s comprehensive PR campaign has successfully secured regular television, print and online media to promote the awareness of SASH’s services to both local audiences and nationally.

In 2022, C7EVEN event managed the opening of SASH Western Sydney, securing local and industry media attendance and coverage including Channel Nine’s the TODAY show weather crosses as well as local members of parliament to officially open the hospital.

Other national media coverage included Channel 10 News for a parvovirus outbreak story, and Channel 7 News to announce the appointment of South Australia’s first pet neurologist.

Overall, the ongoing public relations campaign has successfully delivered on the objective to highlight and promote SASH’s services to new audiences, veterinary based industry publications and continue to build brand equity through positive media coverage.
